About the job

We're looking for a Business development associate who finds and communicates with new customers to provide the best first impression of Voxdale.

In our multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, business strategists and business developers, you will be responsible to:

• Perform market research and map client spaces;
• Identify and approach new clients in a friendly and transparent manner about our services and capabilities;
• Pitch online and offline our talented team, services and our methods;
• Maintain and follow-up contact with prospects and clients.

In addition, you get mentoring and all the resources to make important decisions about it yourself, which customers to target, how to target them, and what events to attend.

There will also be opportunities to attend trade shows, networking events and customer visits. You will get ample opportunities to grow as an individual, both personally and professionally.

C1 or higher proficiency in English and proficiency in Dutch at native level are both essential. French and/or German are good extra’s and any additional language is a great addition to the team! International applicants are welcome, but please note that we cannot help you obtain an EU work visa if this is required.

• You are able to grasp and understand new technologies fast and you have a solid understanding of how business works;
• You have a good track record in business development of 2 years or more;
• You are ambitious and goal-oriented. You are resilient and curious, passionate about listening to people, learning from them and shaping solutions for their problems;
• You like to communicate, be it in writing or orally, with strong listening and presentation skills;
• You are well organized and self driven, able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
• You enjoy learning new skills and technologies;
• You look for win-win situations, even when things get stressful.

PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Experience with: IoT products, hardware, engineering, medical devices, product design;
• Experience with SMEs/medium-sized companies, startups, state research institutions (e.g. Fraunhofer, Helmholtz, etc.);
• The ability to present your own hobby projects;
• Entrepreneurial spirit or experience.
